Baptism is a significant way that we celebrate someone going from death to life! It doesn’t matter if you took that step years ago or minutes ago, baptism is central to us walking in obedience to Jesus. Jesus was baptized by his cousin John (Matthew 3), Phillip baptized on a roadside (Acts 8), and the Apostle Paul made it clear that it didn’t matter who baptized the person (1 Corinthians 1). Here at GMC, we count it a great privilege to celebrate with anyone who is following Jesus and desires to make baptism part of their public confession.
